Across a snowy field
Lol, this is a 48x zoomed, cropped photo. This Snowy Owl was little more than a tiny, white blob the far side of the field. It's always a thrill to see a Snowy much closer, but I'm always happy to see an owl even if very, very distant. I never know which way the owl is facing from that distance, but I got lucky to catch a pair of eyes in this shot. Seen SE of Calgary on 3 February, on a great day out with friends, Cathy and Terry. Actually, this Snowy was one of 12 we saw that day (plus 5 Great Horned Owls).
