I love Alberta
I love Alberta skies - they just seem to go on and on forever. When you are out of the city and travelling the endless prairies and rolling hills, the skies are more impressive than ever. Took this photo on 27th August when a few of us went down south of the city and then west of Nanton. Our trip was to botanize (record all plants found, along with any wild animals, insects, birds, fungi, lichen, etc.) the wonderful rolling hills covered with prairie grassland belonging to Rob Blades and Howard Hornecker. This provides landowners with an amazingly detailed list of just what can be found on their land (especially important when it comes to uncommon and rare species). It also provides us with great opportunites to explore different places and see new things : )
