Step into winter - a shock to the system!
I have just got home after an afternoon driving out to Forgetmenot Pond along Highway 66, Kananaskis. This was a view on the way, and proves that winter HAS arrived! LOL, I expected beautiful snowy peaks, but forgot that everywhere else would be covered with a blanket of snow. The road itself was pretty good, with just patches of snow and ice on it. Fall colours were on their last legs, but I managed to catch a little taste of them here. I was happy to come across a large family of Mountain Sheep that were licking the salt from the road surface. After climbing the rocky outcrop at the side of the road, they then all turned to wait for the youngest one to find a way that s/he could manage to climb up. And now I'm back home in the warmth, with a huge mug of coffee : )
