“Gypsy Rider”

“Gypsy Rider”
I figure that finding another road where you've never been and singing that two-wheeled symphony allows me to link my motorcycle photo to “Gypsy Rider” by Gene Clark and Carla Olsen :-)

"Crank her over once again
Put your face into the wind
Find another road where you're never been.
Sing that two-wheeled melody
The highway symphony
You know she'll never understand."

This track comes from the 1986 album “So Rebellious a Lover"........another of my all-time faves :-)

If it was Peter Fonda's foot I missed an autograph opportunity :-) Unfortunately, I haven't been able to identify which HD model this is..........it's not listed in the programme and could have been a late entry. If it is at this year's event in September I will find out some more details :-) Thanks very much for faving my photo, Heidiho :-)

Wunderschöner Song, auch wenn er nicht unbedingt zum Sound einer Harley passt.

Hi Roger. I hope you don't mind me butting in, but I asked my husband since he used to build choppers and is pretty knowledgeable on the subject and he says it is possibly a 45 cubic inch Flat Head Harley, 1940s vintage.

Your photo and music are a great pair. I have never seen this duo, but have enjoyed much of his music over the years. Very nice combination. Cheers!

Hi Karen. Butting in is perfectly okay with me :-) I have now found a Harley Davidson listed in the programme and it says "Harley Davidson WLC 45". I don't know what WLC stands for but 45 must refer to the 45 cubic inch. Please thank your husband and thank you for your compliments :-)

A very nicely kept old Harley (I'd guess late 40s-early 50s). A very pleasant and appropriate accompaniment for S2L, too.
