I stayed there too .. looked pretty rough on the outside, the room was relatively primitive, but perfectly acceptable overall.

I've stayed there a number of times. They even have a small apartment complex you can rent like a motel, so that you have a kitchen and don't have to make sure you get back to town in time to eat at Bruno's! As you say, it's pretty rustic and wouldn't turn heads in any built-up area--but given the location, it's palatial!
