"Three Generations"

"Three Generations"
Submitted for the Vintage Photos Theme Park monthly topic of: HOLIDAY GET-TOGETHERS
Found in a free box in Newport New Hampshire, summer 2023.
Written on the back in pencil "Three generations".
I'm not sure if the man on the right is a very young looking dad to the man on the left - or if the person is being funny and counting the dolls.
What do you think?
The little girl is sitting on a stuffed puppy (At least, I think that's what it is!).

So cute!!!! I find it so hard to guess ages of people in vintage photos. Could one of those men be old enough to be a grandfather? But the two men look similar in age, so as you theorized, the dollies must be the 3rd generation. :)

Well, they often did get married in their early 20s back then, right?
It's probably too much of a stretch, though, so dollies it is!

I think the two guys are father and son, the sitting girl is the daughter of the younger man and the standing girl is the daughter of the older man, conceived after he returned from military service in WWII. Years later there will be great family tumult when Grandpa dies and leaves everything to two-doll Annie.
