My brother was sent down the block to the store to get milk. My mother snapped this from up on the porch to send a copy to England and show them what winter was like in America.
It rarely snowed in Essex, UK, when we lived there.

Looks like it was really coming down based on the fuzzy background items and they hadn't gotten to the roads yet. Brrrrr. Did you and he share shoveling duty? The first winter after we moved to CA I was somewhat astonished at how much extra energy it takes to deal with winter weather.

No, I don't ever remember shoveling. Isn't that terrible? On the other hand, I don't remember my Dad shoveling either. I think it was nearly always my mom!
