Clarice Sinico-Campobello by Crystal Palace

Clarice Sinico-Campobello by Crystal Palace
Clarice Sinico-Campobello; Italian soprano.
Her real name was Clarice Marini, but after her first marriage with Giuseppe Carlo Sinico she used the stage name of Sinico. After her second marriage (1874) with the Scottish bass-baritone Enrico Campobello she continued under the stage name of Sinico-Campobello. In 1864 she made her debut at Nice (France) and in the same year she also made her London debut. For many years (1865/78) she was engaged at the various London opera-houses (Her Majesty’s Theatre, Drury Lane and Covent Garden). She was also a well known oratorio and concert singer.
