Not very diarr, no. Just mediocre.

Mediochre, more like it, like anything taken under the present conditions.

"Global warming" can be blamed for a multitude of sins.

Ah, it's been replaced! What changes have been made? Hard to remember, but I think the castle is better defined now, with less cast on it, and maybe the ratio has changed.

You could improve it still further by removing that stray piece of valerian on the left and the two over-tall stalks in the centre, as well as darkening that triangular piece of roof, which currently stands out like a supersonic butterfly.

The picture was taken in a hurry (I was already trailing behind the rest of the organised group who had just been quick-marched through the town as though it had had a train to catch) and given a few seconds more I could have taken it better.

This: was taken in 2018, in less arid conditions. The background is out of focus in this one too, but I removed the white buildings.

The 2018 one is so nice that you didn't really need to take a second one.

Expect to see some slight improvement in my work. I've just upgraded to Photomatix Pro, and it's so much better than (and has very useful features not in) the "Essentials" version that I now wish I'd done that years ago.

I'll believe it when it happens.
