Vauxhall Ampera - 17 August 2020

My catalogue of cars and vans grows slowly and cautiously as there is no particular intention to record everything. Each picture has to have a point beyond simply being a car or van.

The Vauxhall/Opel Ampera was not a success in the UK and European markets with only 1279 sold in the UK and fewer in most of its neighbours. The equivalent Chevrolet Volt sold more than 88,000 in the USA but I don't think that's a lot for that market.

This 2014 example of the Vauxhall badged model was seen on the westbound A31 near Ringwood.
