Provincial Society Ale & Ride (3) - 1 January 2020

On New Years Day 2020, The Provincial Society operated an Ale & Ride event from Gosport and Fareham Bus Stations using a number of preserved vehicles. The third to arrive at Gosport and seen here entering the bus station was Leyland National 2 A301KJT in Provincial colours. Earlier in preservation this vehicle was in a People's Provincial scheme.

I don't think the grim setting of Gosport's shabby bus station has changed much - except to deteriorate - since Provincial actually operated. I was also surprised to note that First was operating no service.
