Post-Racial America
Larchmont, NY
Note: Sadly, some things never change.
Created with garbage found in Larchmont, Rye, and Mamaroneck, NY.
Photographer's Statement: The rusted barbed wire symbolizes the high incarceration rate for young Black men as well as their lack of freedom, the muddied fallen black knight symbolizes the minority victims of extra-judicial executions, the dirty cloth flower symbolizes mourning for these victims and the torn, filthy American flag symbolizes the continued lack of economic and social opportunities for too many people of color in 21st Century America.
