Tusilago canario o flor de mayo (Pericallis tussilaginis)

El tusilago canario o flor de mayo (Pericallis tussilaginis) es un endemismo canario presente en Tenerife y Gran Canaria. Se trata de una planta herbácea, perenne, de entre 30-60 cm de alto con raíces tuberosas. Tallo fino, ligeramente velloso. El tusilago canario es una planta ramificada en la parte más alta, presentando una tonalidad verdosa general con una coloración algo morada en la base.
