Oh...diese Reise..dieser Ort...da klopft mein Herzerl aber :)
Das Foto selbst ist ein Traum..die Bildgestaltung, der Schnitt...wunderbar im Licht und die Info dazu..herrlich!
Ich bin ein großer Fan dieser Orte..der Gedanke, dass diese Riesen schon viele tausend Jahre dort stehen und trotzdem nicht alles Geheimnisse preis geben...schon faszinierend!

Ganz lieben Dank Tanja, das freut mich ganz besonders.
Ja es ist schon ein tolles Gefühl da allein zu stehen (wir sind zwar einigen Menschen auf dem Weg dorthin begegnet, waren aber ganz allein vor Ort, die Insel Arran ist nicht so stark besucht wie andere Orde Schottlands) und zu geniessen.

Le Machrie Moor stone circle est un site mégalithique datant de l'âge de bronze, situé à l'ouest de l'île. La légende veut que le célèbre géant Fingal, qui aurait repoussé les assauts Viking, aurait érigé ces pierres en mémoire de ses camarades morts au combat. Le chien qui apparaît sur la bouteille est Bran, le chien de Fingal, qu'il attacherait aux pierres lorsqu'il vient rendre hommage aux défunts.

Oui tout à fait, ce riche paysage archéologique comprend des cercles de pierres, des pierres dressées, des cairns et des cistes funéraires, ainsi que des cercles de huttes et un vaste système de champs, tous datant de 3500 à 1500 avant JC et donc datant de l'âge du bronze.
J'ai également fait des photos des cercles de pierres etc, mais le rendu n'est pas le même que pour les 'standing stones'.

Yes this sunlight only in that part of the picture is somehow appealing. I've looked up in an enlarged version and it seems effectively to be cotton grass.

Herzlichen Dank für diesen Kommentar, freut mich sehr.
Wir hatten während unseres zweiwöchigem Schottland-Aufenthalt fast immer einen schönen Wolkenhimmel, ein paarmal (aber unbedeutend) leichter Regenfall und nur während unserer 3 Tage in Edinburgh fast ausnahmslos blauen Himmel.
Dir auch einen schönen Sonntag!
