A 2.5m circular walk along The Stiperstones

A 2.5m circular walk along The Stiperstones
Stiperstones, Shropshire. Rising to over 500 m, the Stiperstone ridge with its rocky outcrops, its shattered quartzite scree, and moorland is one of the wildest parts of the Midlands landscape. In the Middle Ages the area offered rough grazing for communities located on its periphery as well as important lead deposits which were worked in places such as Shelve. Monastic interests saw many parts of this upland landscape brought under cultivation.
