Appleby Magna Misses Moores' Alms Houses (1839) Grade II Listed building
A place for lunch in the Churchyard of St. Michael and All Angels at Appleby Magna, looking over the Almshouses. These were built by the Sisters Moore, the aunts of the local lord so their servants would have a decent place to live in their elderly years instead of being forced to live in the workhouse. Today they are lovely private homes.
