Chronik der Anna Magdalena Bach ist ein deutsch-italienischer Spielfilm des französischen Regisseurs Jean-Marie Straub aus dem Jahr 1968. Das Drehbuch verfasste der Regisseur zusammen mit seiner Partnerin Danièle Huillet. Es behandelt die wichtigsten Stationen in der Lebensgeschichte des Komponisten Johann Sebastian Bach, wie sie von der englischen Schriftstellerin Esther Meynell in Form fiktiver Tagebuchskizzen von Bachs zweiter Ehefrau erzählt wird.

Chronique d'Anna Magdalena Bach est un film germano-italien réalisé par Jean-Marie Straub et Danièle Huillet, sorti en 1968. À partir de manuscrits, de comptes-rendus d'époque, de lettres,les auteurs ont mis en scène la vie de la deuxième épouse de Johann Sebastian Bach, Anna Magdalena Bach, aux côtés de son mari.

Never known either about Anna magdalena or about the movie!!
More and more I guess I ought to frequent your gallery more and more often, Cher Eric, and not only in order to admire such an image, so admirable in itself, but also so intensively embodying and conveying the story you are referring to with this magic soundtrack; but also..to improve my standard of personal culture.. I'm not kidding at all.
