I have tried so many times to get a good shot like this of a Heron, but am yet to succeed! I never seem to have the right lens with me...well that's my excuse anyway :) A superb shot.

Excellent portrait of this motionless heron in his ambush, ready to seize his prey! The plumage is so finely described as to to bring out its fluffy feathers in precious tones of blue.
