My Dear Füsun,

Thank you so much for your very quick visit, Maybe you remember there was another photo of the Xing point here..
This line is very tightly curved, and so the railway kept three very old engines (this one, and two of her sisters) specially to work the freight traffic here.

Of course the scene represented is very old, but the houses are unchanged to this day.

An excellent shot Peter. The engine looks to get very close to the buildings!! No afternoon nap with the noise of the train passing the door! Have a lovely evening

Thank you Carol,

You are very right, it is extremely close! Fortunately it is only a little used mineral line, so maybe tolerable as anything else. I don't think they had double glazing in those days!

Best wishes and a good weekend.

Thank you Erhard,

I am glad you like it. If anything, the house on the left didn't match the concept, with its bright new paintwork!! As you say, better B&W.

Best wishes and a good weekend.

Thank you Rosa,

Your visit is most welcome here. Definitely a scene from the past, and on a miserable grey day too... I am very happy that you like my choice of colours!

Best wishes and a good weekend.

Thank you Steve

I am pleased that you like the scene. I do wonder (like Carol did) what it would be like to live in that house!

Best wishes and a good weekend.

Superb but where is it please, Peter! (Sorry, Wenford Bridge is probably well known to millions, but alas, not to me!). B/W well suited to this!
Best wishes,

Hi Andy,

Thank you. Glad you like it.
The mapping I gave it is accurate, in fact it is from your neck of the woods... Cornwall..

Best wishes
Peter
