Drei Annen Hohne

Drei Annen Hohne
99 5901 is one of four Mallet machines still owned by the Harzian narrow-gauge railway. Three of them are operational. The locomotives are used as reserve machines and in front of special trains.

Hi Frank,

Thank you so much for visiting my picture of Harz mountains, and the Mallet locomotive. I spent 3 days in Wernigerode, took a trip up Brocken mountain, plus took lots of pictures of the railway! I enjoyed it very much!!

Best Wishes

My Dear Füsun,

Thank you so much for visiting these beautiful mountains, and forests. It was a wonderful holiday, so many different things, and different railways. The hotel was wonderfully situated, giving a view of the railway yards!!!

Hi Marie-claire,
Thank you so much for your very enthusiastic visit, and very kind awards! It always makes me happy when you drop by. This is a very busy station, the branch for Brocken mountain starts here. There were steam trains coming and going all day. So much to see and photograph!
More will follow another day,

Best Wishes

Beautiful shot here, Peter. He's a little scary though and reminds me of "Devious Diesel" the black engine. ;-)

Hi Karen,
Your visit is most welcome. Thank you.
I am so happy that you like the scene. In a way I can see what you mean about the box shape of the diesel..!

Best Wishes,
Peter

PS, sorry for a late reply, I missed it at the time!
