Very beautiful photo, Andy. Magnolia grandiflora, the state flower of Mississippi. Many people, rich and poor, have them growing in their yards here. A small one grows wild in my forest. It hasn't bloomed yet in its approximately three years.

At least everybody can afford to look at the magnolia:-)

Except that the security at this most exclusive of Madrid's gated communities is such that not everyone can! You go to the gatehouse (a mini fortress), they call the residence and someone has to come out from there, to the gatehouse and collect you. (That is after the compulsory body search and 3rd degree interrogation and mauling by the sniffer dogs!)

That sounds ghastly! I'd rather not be rich than having to live in a gated community;-)
