Das muss ja ein riesiges Gebäude gewesen sein, Tanja. Auf diesem Foto sieht man wieder einmal, dass Irland zu Recht die "Grüne Insel" genannt wird.

War und ist ziemlich imposant Uli...vor allem wenn man mal um die Mauern spaziert. Hier wurde übrigens ein Teil des Films "Braveheart" gedreht!

Ich dachte ja erst, diese Ruine stünde am Meer so wie das Mullagh Mòr Castle, das ich in Irland gesehen hab, aber das ist ja mitten im Land - und einer Stadt. Erstaunlich!

Oh bei Deinem Foto geht mir das Herzerl auf Klaus!!!
Ja...Trim Castle ist wirklich eingebettet in die Stadt..aus dieser Perspektive aber überhaupt nicht zu sehen! Ich hab in den St.Patrick´s day reingefeiert, stilecht auf dem irish spring festival mit Musik und Guinness und Aufstehen am nächsten Morgen ;)))
