Devils Tower

Situé dans l'état du Wyoming, ce monolithe mesure 265 mètres de haut. Au sommet, son altitude est de 1559 mètres par rapport au niveau de la mer.
Classé 'Monument National' en 1906, 'Devils Tower' a connu la notoriété cinématographique avec le film de Steven Spielberg, "Rencontres du Troisième Type", réalisé en 1977.

Northeastern Wyoming, this butte stands 867 feet (265 m) from summit to base. The summit is 5,112 feet (1,559 m) above sea level.
Devils Tower was the first declared United States National Monument, established on September 24, 1906, by President Theodore Roosevelt.
The 1977 movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" used the formation as a plot element.
