Countdown to inauguration

I sort of wish that the Orange One refuses to leave the White House.............I'd love to see him being dragged outside and dumped on the lawn by the Secret Service :-))

You and me, both! Handcuffed. And, the WH maintenance staff tossing his purple velvet robe and golden toilet on the ground behind him.

Not just folks in the US waiting. The rest of the world looks forward to leadership on the global stage such as we had in the past with President Obama, President Kennedy, President Eisenhower and others.

YES! I am so old that I remember Eisenhower quite well! I was old enough at the time he was elected to express my little kid condolences to my mother, who had voted for Stevenson. She said, "That's OK, he's our president now and we need to support our president." I remember the sort of prim look on her face, as if she was determined to do her patriotic duty. WOW - imagine! Those were the days.

Biden is a good person. Intelligent, compassionate and very seasoned on the world stage. Harris is the same, with less to do with the world stage and more to do with public policy and racial issues. We'll see how much of a battle we'll have with the ultra-right, neo-nazis and conspiracy spinners. Ol' Orange One will do everything he can to whip up those factions.

Unfortunately it will not help them much if they block everything in the senate and the representative house. It will be a very difficult task! ...
