send back to Ray

The emendation, the printed lettering, the cloth, the stitching evoke a way of life, a moment. Presences like our own. Now it’s digital marginalia we write.. “Send back” ? It may be too late for that.

A shirt, a layer of torn magazine with my notes... I didn't send it back to Ray, I sent it directly to the office in Texas. Then Ray called later and asked "where is it?" It was interesting to have something to do while holed up in my apartment. Thank you.
