Burning stubble

Burning stubble
A primitive technique still used in the US wherever it's not banned. Farmers get limited days to burn limited acreage. Out of the frame are farm vehicles attending the border of the fire.

tiabunna, Keith Burton, Annemarie, Ulrich John have particularly liked this photo

A risky practice in these days of global warming...........

Anyway............I really love this - the row of different shaped trees is really beautiful. They look splendid in the sunshine!

It is and I don't like it, but try convincing farmers they shouldn't do it. There is no law against it in Oregon, so... Thanks, Keith!

I thought it might be. Honestly, I can understand it in both our countries, because the land is so vast. Farmers would burn through a fortune in fuel and tractor maintenance to plow all of it.
