Lots of space. In European graveyards there is normally so little space left that they are either closed to new members or solutions are found of the vertical (one on top of the other, I don't mean standing upright ... although come to think of it!) kind!

Only our big city ones are crowded, in fact many are now closed, but, as you might have guessed, there is copious land elsewhere. Veteran's cemeteries - most, I think - use the stacking method. But, only for spouses. The whole family isn't stacked up like Jenga blocks. LOL! Oooh, the imagery! The one above is literally way out in ranch land, so very sparse.

Thank you! Come to think of it, I wonder if the surrounding ranchers take turns with mowing/watering duty. It would be nice and peaceful to be there for eternity...but, my ashes will be tossed into the Pacific if my son remembers to not bury them in the back yard. Lol!

Thanks, Keith! Ethereal is appropriate for a cemetery, I guess. ;-)

It still amazes me here the space for burials. Like Andy said above... its rare now in the UK.

Doesnt matter.. I will be scattered to the 4 winds.. and not in America if I can help it !

Haha - I told my son, "DON'T dump me HERE!" Meaning, Klamath Falls. It's off to the coast for me! Your husband can mail your ashes to your hometown, if he's not able to travel by that time. Lol!

USA is vast unlike the UK where we are running out of spaces .... all they keep building is houses sometime on prime agricultural land Crazy !!!

That is a problem, Marj! Maybe you can start shipping your coffins to Canada. (Sick joke, but why not?) We would take them, but there's that immigration problem...
