Hopscotch in fog

I've read about this before and you have shown some evidence of it previously, but why do these cheese products look so industrial and unappetizing? Not one of these cheeses would tempt me, especially as the packaging is so unimaginative. Your shots are great, I just wouldn't want to sample what look like very bland and (and indeed 'mild') cheeses.
Feel free to defend your cheeses, please!

I didn't photograph all of the cheeses, there were too many, from all around the world. All of them are in plastic packaging. As for the one above, I think their label is remarkably dull, but I don't know where it's made or what it tastes like. Kraft brands (none of them shown here) are all industrial-scale products, to be sure. If I went to a larger city with good delis and cheese shops, the packaging would probably look more rustic or artistic, or use the "imitation parchment" (aka plastic) I've see on a brand of Irish and English cheeses, or cut-to-order and wrapped in real parchment. I first discovered that a long time ago when I saw it on TV on a food program. I couldn't believe it - UGH!

Here in Germany I often buy a Altbier Käse that tasts good (my taste)

With beer, of course! Sounds great!
