Take heed!

Take heed!
A side gate for Kingsley Field Air National Guard Base. It is also a small commercial airport when the F-15s aren't taking off.

Gudrun, , Ronald Losure and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

I'm surprised you're even allowed to take photos along the fence-line. It's prohibited at most of our Military Bases or Ministry of Defence areas.

Hi, Keith, just back from a trip. It's not usually illegal to take pictures of anything in the USA, as long as you're not on the property. I did find out, after I'd already done it, that it's illegal to take pictures of prisons. I got yelled at by a lady guard. I pretended to delete my photo. More on that later...

I wouldn't have dared to take photos there. Anything remotely military or official can get you into massive trouble in so many countries that I automatically refrain from taking photos.

I'm not saying I wouldn't get in trouble, but the signs just warn about the danger of the gate and to not enter without permission. So, I'm taking them literally. The attitude here seems to be that if you can see it in plain sight as you drive by and from above on Google Earth, it's already not a secret! "Area 51" in Nevada is definitely and entirely off-limits, however. It can be seen from above, but you can't get anywhere near it on the ground. Everything they do is secret.
