Eclipse Complex firefighter

Photo by my son a few nights ago. This is west of Happy Camp, California, in the Klamath National Forest. "Complex" means there are several fires in the same area, which sometimes join up and make one very large fire.

They are lighting treetops to deprive a nearby fire of more fuel upwind of it.

Great shot...............these forest fires are vey scary. Thankfully they're quite unusual in the UK.
