We have Lithia in Reno, too--

You do? I think the original was in Medford and I just assumed it was only in Oregon. I can't see the name without thinking of Lithium, so I call it the psychiatrist's dealership.

I like the shot but might choose a different hotel, if it's all the same to you!
At least I know where to come should I ever need to buy some bodies!

Heh. A "body shop" in the US is a place where automobile bodies are repaired. "Shop" in
American English can still mean a "workshop" (the older meaning, in fact). It's not just a place where you buy things! You can say, "my car's in the shop," meaning it's in being repaired.

Ha! I'll let you know when they have their annual body sale.

So right. We also use "garage" for that, but in my childhood, it was always "in the shop."

Love the shot overall, particularly the hotel. Re 'lithia', I've seen them in various places, per their website they're a national chain, but not as distributed as I thought: www.lithia.com/locations/body-shop-locations.htm

I like the creepy old hotel a lot and have taken shots of it from different viewpoints. Lithia just happened to be in this shot. Meanwhile, it's fun to learn about Lithia, too.

Thanks, Don!

I knew Lithia had expanded out of Oregon, but I didn't realize they'd expanded so far! Per their website they started in Ashland. Apparently the name comes from a local lithium-bearing hot spring there. "Lithia," technically, is lithium oxide, Li2O.

Aha, I do vaguely remember something about the hot spring from my childhood years here, so looked it up. Here are some nice old photos of it: lithiaspringsresort.com/mineral-waters
