Like those dreams...

Like those dreams...
First, you can't see clearly and then the scene changes just enough... www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bgsiSHmZ20 It's been covered by many, but there's still nobody like Sam Cooke.

This photo applies to several aspects of my life right now.

, Cheryl Beal, Andy Rodker and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

... good photos elicit emotions; this one has a nightmarish quality (wait, wait; that's a compliment) ... well shot and constructed ...

Haha - that was my intention! Even if not, I would still like that idea a lot (unless it's a photo of me). Thanks very much, L.

Long time since I heard the original. I'd forgotten just how great it is! Interesting shot with the song!

I adore that song and that version, though several others sang the heck out of it. Solomon Burke comes to mind, for a version in the late '70s: www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-9zbBpUiAo He was a fabulous singer who didn't get enough recognition, as far as I'm concerned. That gravel will make your hair stand up. (Note the shout-out to England and Ireland. I think that's also referring to N. Ireland.)

Listening to it right now makes me tear up, thinking about what's happening to my country. So many of us are in a state of deep melancholy with that veneer of normal interaction you use when you just have to keep going.
