Rest-up in Greenfield.
Autumn, at just a short ride from my home can be most rewarding, for here at the Huddersfield canal we see some gorgeous Autumnal lighting giving the whole scene a look of the old masters. The narrow-boat takes a rest before a possible trip towards the Ashton Basin and two other canal systems. If it went up towards the hills here, it would shortly reach Diggle and the famous Standedge Tunnel under the moors to Marsden in Yorkshire.

This is at the back of the village and is a great walk along this part of the canal of which I am stood on the bridge at Friezland church here. Glad you liked it.

A spot that I see often as one of our regular 'isolation' walks goes along this part of the canal and over onto this bridge. I have never seen it quite like this since though.

Yes, better than them being totally forgotten. Came across all my Panoramio photos again the other day via my Google cloud storage area. All smaller than the originals that I posted but very seeable. I have the full sized Panoramio originals still here in my hard-disc as well as the original photos as shot in my backup HD.

Thanks Peter. A spot I see quite often as it lies on one of our local 'Isolation' walks. This barge has been away now for some time though. a while since I took this but I think the light is timeless.
