The west face of Ingleborough

The west face of Ingleborough
Taken from the side of our holiday cottage, situated some 15 miles away from the slopes of Ingleborough itself. Our cottage is very much in the county of Lancashire but we are looking at the Yorkshire Dales here.
I have posted many photos of this mountain before but for those not familiar with this:
Ingleborough is the second-highest mountain in the Yorkshire Dales, England. It is one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, and is frequently climbed as part of the Three Peaks walk. Elevation: 723 m. WiKi

Wow..............what an amazing view to see each day. Classic English countryside in the foreground and a magnificent mountain background. What a great combination!

This was more to the side of the cottage so not viewable from the windows themselves. Also, note the focal length of the lens and real distance of 15 miles so this was much smaller when viewed live. Glad you liked it.

Hi Herb
A really nice landscape, and a mountain I have never walked on.. Snowdon (many times), Ben Nevis, but never Ingleborough..
Best Wishes, a nice weekend, and stay safe!!

Thanks Peter. The tree peaks are all worth hiking to the top and they all have their different characteristics. For the keen, it is possible to do them in the same day but I did them over several years :) A very long view from here near Carnforth with some nice countryside in-between. Glad you like it.

Keep safe. Herb
