Foxy Ladies

Foxy Ladies
Mother and daughter take a nights rest in our garden between grounds. ~ We have been seeing these together and separately for some time now, since the one on the left was a mere pup, but we can never forecast when we will see them next. In reality they could be sisters but the sleeping one is definitely older and more infirm whilst the younger standing fox is also very submissive to the other.

We have not seen them again since taking this. Maybe because their favourite route here, along our railway walk, has just recently had a major renovation, with much of its surrounding undergrowth and trees tidied up by teams of workmen.
See PiP of perhaps the same pair in our garden, taken last June. The second PiP possibly shows mum at their den.

Nice full screen

Sarah P., Gabi Lombardo, David G Johnson, Rainer Blankermann and 22 other people have particularly liked this photo

Glad you liked them Toz. The neighbour used to feed them but by enlarge we don't. That being said we some bones out for the the other day. Out of the two bones, one disappeared. Don't know if it was foxes or more likely cats. No dogs here.

Cheers, Herb

Good to have pleased you then Maurice. We don't much like them spoiling our laws or flowers but we do like to see this wild life too.

The standing fox looks far healthier than most foxes I see Judite. Not much food waste food around from the quick food outlets as they are all closed due to the Pandemic. So these foxes go without! Glad you enjoyed it.

Wonderful photos Herb.............they're such beautiful animals and you're really lucky to be able to get so close to them. I especially like the image in the first PiP.

We have a fox that transits our garden..........we've never seen it, but regularly have to clean up it's poo from the lawn. We occasionally leave a chicken carcass out overnight in the corner of the garden and it nearly always disappears completely.

I keep meaning to get a trail camera set up.........but never seem to get round to it. I must make the effort soon.

Happy that you have enjoyed this one Keith. I do know that you too enjoy our wild-life here in Britain. Yes having foxes, badgers and squirrels roaming about does add a bit of countryside to our homes. I think I have told you about my trail camera that caught the badgers at night.

Three superb shots, but I especially like the main image Herb. How nice to be able to watch their antics. Interesting what you say about the fast food outlets. I hadn't thought of that!
All the best, Rosa.
