Winter feeding time

Winter feeding time
After uploading a photo of sheep in sun-setting light for last weeks HFF, I have decided to share more of my local Winter Snow scenes with you here. Here we are looking down onto the Dovestones area Binn Green carpark with one of the three reservoirs in view As a back-drop we have of course the western Pennine range, known here as the Saddleworth Moors.

One is making sure of getting her fair share Herb ;-)) I like your local scenes best of all. It's an area I don't know very well and is so different to my region. The light is lovely in this shot and the snow covered Pennines are beautiful. Hope you have a good and safe new week. Rosa.

You are so kind Rosa. This area -although frowned upon and indeed looked down upon by much of the southern counties has its rewards as can be seen. Great that you have enjoyed this one. More of my local scenes to come tis week.

Good to see the sheep were prepared to share their viewpoint with you. I love the one standing on top of the bales..........in in a natural spot light as well.

I like the light and the warm colours and the gorgeous hills in the background. Very nice indeed Herb.

I was only there for 90 mins total Keith but I caught a lot of very nice scenes. Sometimes we are lucky, are we not. The King (Queen) sheep was a bonus for sure.

Daniela, our sheep are tough -they stop out all winter in snow, ice, rain and wind. They are nice, aren't they.
