Ingleborough's north face.

Ingleborough's north face.
A fine view fom near the Ribblehead Station Inn, towards the second-highest mountain in the Yorkshire Dales. At 723m (2372ft) it certainly looks impressive here after a new layer of fresh snow during the night. As can be seen a rather grey day that was as cold as it looks with a biting Northern wind. This mountain forms another of the Three Peaks walk and if you look carefully you can see a couple heading towards or from this. I am not too far from the foot of Whernside.

Another absolutely stunning Image Herb perfect composition super full screen I always view full screen its a nice walk up the track on the right to the lime stone pavement planty of lone trees.

Another to wet your appetite my friend. Like you we walked up there, but only once, too. Can't remember lone trees up there but I know there were some on Wherneside. Quite a good feeling to this capture of which I think I was extremely lucky to get it like this. Taken just a few minutes after my Ribblehead captures. We took more photos of this the day after with quite a different feeling. Cheers very much for the star.
