Autumn harmony

Pure harmony indeed, Herb! What a nice place! I'll come for a walk...

These Crags are the greatest pleasure to walk. I have been coming here on and off now for 45+ years. In the heart of the valley is this fine mill and pond, now am interest centre and cafe but it does not detract from the natural beauty . More info on the PiP page Antje.

Herb you captured on a photo the English painters (eg Turner) would have been proud to paint. I 100% agree I will come for a walk.

More Constable than Turner, I think. But I agree with your sentiment, Steve. Well done, Herb. This is delightful.

Walking within nature is the best thing here. Hiking along the river's edge over narrow paths, foot bridges and rocks whilst seeing and hearing the fast running river all the time is wonderful. This scene here is a bit like a painting, I must admit but it is none the worse for that. You would be most welcome to accompany me on this walk Steve.

HaHa, a touch of both maybe, as they both did landscapes with similar colourings, although Turner was perhaps more famed for his seascapes and sea-battle scenes as well. I am honored that my photo should be put in the same vogue as these two masters.

Hi again Toz. Another spot that you can now watch out for. Of course this only works when the lighting conditions are perfect and preferably with backdrop of Autumn trees. You are most welcome on this familiar walk my friend. With the three of us we would be running ourselves silly trying to outdo each other.
