Thanks a lot Jaap. A favourite one here, for me and some of my followers. Already three years old but still has a fresh look to it. Today, as I walked near here it was almost half empty.

You are right my friend. In reality, the normal Winter weather here is constant grey skies, cool and wet. In short nothing like this -but when it happens it happens! Glad you like it.

Thank you Rainer - yes a landscape in the best of tradition. My local walking area can be a perfect destination in conditions like this, unfortunately, these conditions rarely happen.

Yes, if the weather is good you can find this kind of lighting. but you need to go at a certain height.

Füßun, you see here now that I have been taking such photos for a long time. This is another of my local Dovestones reservoir - just lately surrounded by moor-fires and now almost empty due to the current drought!

Just up the road, so to speak Carol -15mins by car, 30 by local bus. A firm favourite where I have taken perhaps thousands of photos in the 50 years I have had a decent camera. A great place in all seasons especially Winters like this or misty golden Autumns.
