Thanks again Daniela, always nice to read your comments here. Dry field walls are a feature of our northern part of Britain. This one was evidently recently re-built but falls a long way short of the standard of the original dry-stone walling. Herb

Yes the lighting in the sky was what really attracted me back to this spot as I had passed it some hours earlier. Fortunately I was staying only a ten minute walk from here. Glad you like it Lutz.
