Hope: The famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

Hope: The famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
** HERE IS HOPING THAT WE CAN GET BACK TO SHARING WITH OUR FAMILY, FRIENDS AND COMMUNITIES SOON! **

A dull wet windy day at Blackpool can be made quite bright. Here we have an insight into one of my other hobbies (Ballroom dancing) as we see the dancers take to the floor on this Monday afternoon tea-dance. In the background, we can spot the famous rising Wurlitzer organ.

Steve Paxton, raingirl, Rosalyn Hilborne and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

Neither did I, Amelia but it is indeed a great place to dance and have afternoon-tea.

A great picture Herb'.. warm and traditional.... being a 'shooting information' fanatic'... this is a brilliant shot.. re. the ISO reading.
Nicely done... Cheers from Dave.

Hi Dave and thanks for your visit to this. Yes a very traditional pastime which I always fear may end soon as Blackpool continues its decline. We generally try to get here for an afternoon tea-dance about once a year.
Techie- not bad for ISO 5000 but I think your Sony would have coped better!

This one caught my eye Herb. I took my mum there in around 2007 when they had an orchestra playing all the old Glen Miller hits. Then we had a long tram ride back to our Hotel at the other end of Blackpool. Great times, great memories.
Take care and have a good new week....and hopefully we will be able to upload our pictures again then :) Cheers, Rosa.

What a wonderful place - and you've photographed it so well, showing off all those details and the scene. I've tried to get my husband to ballroom dance with me, but no go so far. Glad you get to do it!
