Orion from my back yard.

Orion from my back yard.
Dead center of the shot you can the start of the night Orion . The horse head nebula is on the bottom right corner of the Pot. At this stage you will have to wait till Saturday sunday to see the result but so far its looking quite amazing.

I'm not good at names of constellations, but I think I might recognise Orion's Belt, centre in the upper third, but I could be wrong. Not too much light pollution round your way, Steve.

Amelia yes I know it as Orion as I grew up northern side of the equator but in the Southern hemisphere is more a pot. its not so bad out our way the city and indeed WA is very mind full of our black night skies and preserving them. this is why I really dont have to leave home and set up but that is very worth while.

I did take this so every one cloud see the sky that the shot of the Horse Head Nebula & Flame is coming from in the same spot as the previous photo.
