I hope to get past tomorrow My fathers Eulogy and my birthday , Oh happy days, these old hotels put modern buildings to shame. HFF yes the weekend will be a good one huge hurdles over come.

Sympathy, our Dad's funeral was on my sister's birthday, many years ago now.

This is in the old town of York not too far out of Perth. Has not been an easy time and not been able to get to nz. I am ok I did my best for my father when it came to the meal of my birthday I had the very same that mum and dad had every friday night. Fish & Chips and a Gin & Tonic as a way of saying good bye finally so I could get back in touch with my own life. I have also been a bit missing in action, life goes on.

Sadly I was under clouds but some where light so I did not bother to even try. HFF hope that your weekend was better.

The old pubs can look good and they are a means of retaining construction styles over time but. Decades ago I had wandering around employment and stayed in many old pubs. I still remember the beds which sagged in the middle, daggy old bathrooms and toilets along the corridor from the room, worn carpet in areas away from bar & food areas, relic interior decor and less effort put into housekeeping than one would find at home...
