Repot in a whole different pot

Repot in a whole different pot
This plant started as a trunk the size of my arm now it the size of my legs. it grew to small for the pot in the PIP. i can just lift the tree cannot lift the pot and the tree. pot is 900mm x 350mm plant is close to a meter. all the leaves have been removed to encourage secondary branching. getting close to 30 years old.

Erhard Bernstein, Andy Rodker, ColRam have particularly liked this photo

My great grandfather used to cultivate these and had a fine and mature collection by the time he died in 1978. Each one of his grandchildren and great grandchildren had been promised one. Unfortunately the house clearance firm got in and cleared away EVERYTHING before anyone could claim there's. I had also been promised an antique microscope and other members of the family had been promised other things. But the house clearance firm / auctioneers, were quite ruthless, as is their way (probably to avoid family squabbles about choice pieces!). By the time the family had arrived for the funeral nothing was left. It seems that they had stripped the place overnight!!
I digressed ... I like your bonsai shot, PiP and story!

the PIP shows the old pot its second in its life with me but no room to grow any more it s base filled the whole pot. its sad to read your story and i know just how you felt been in the same situation myself. i know i am the end of the line no one of my family interested in bonsai or even photography but i still enjoy the challenge of both. i will post a few more when i get them in a good state, i have started lots so keeps the mind very active.
