The Castle of the Dukes of Brittany is the most emblematic building in Nantes. Located in the city centre, a few minutes' walk from the train station, it is a Renaissance-style fortress that today houses a museum dedicated to the history of Nantes. From collections of historical artefacts to modern multimedia installations, a visit to this museum is an entertaining and educational way to discover the past and present of the city and the region. The castle also has 7 towers connected by ramparts that are still walkable and, via the Paysage glissé, a fun 12-metre-high slide, you can quickly move from the ramparts to the moat and admire the panorama from an unusual viewpoint.
