Nei dintorni di Ribeauvillé si può seguire un breve ma pittoresco itinerario chiamato il Circuito dei tre castelli: si tratta di ammirare tre splendidi esempi di architettura fortificata, immersi fra colline e vigneti. In circa 3 ore a piedi (andata e ritorno) e 9 km di percorrenza, si possono vedere da vicino le rovine del Castello di Saint-Ulrich, arroccato su una collina con tanto di cinta muraria, cappella e torre, il Castello di Giersberg costruito intorno alla metà del Duecento e raggiungibile a piedi attraversando un magnifico bosco e infine il Castello di Haut-Ribeaupierre (non visibile nella foto) sormontato dal monte Taennchel e importante baluardo difensivo della città durante la Guerra dei Cent’anni. .
