Tag 3 - 23.8.2013 - The City Circle is a zero-fare tram running around the central business district of Melbourne, Australia. Aimed mainly at tourists, the route passes many Melbourne attractions while running along the CBD's outermost thoroughfares, as well as the developing Docklands waterfront precinct.

Außerdem ist er nach dem Q1 Tower, der bis 2005 in Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise errichtet wurde, nicht nur der zweithöchste Wolkenkratzer Australiens, sondern auch der Südhalbkugel. When measured either by the height of its roof, or by the height of its highest habitable floor, Eureka Tower was the tallest residential building in the world when completed. It is also currently the building with the most floors available for residential occupancy in the world. The building stands 297 metres in height, with 91 storeys above ground plus one basement level. It is one of only seven buildings in the world with 90 or more storeys and is the equal 77th tallest building in the world. It is also the second-tallest building in Australia and the tallest building in Melbourne. The single level basement and first 9 floors contain car parking. The building's proximity to the water table as well as the Yarra River made the construction of a basement car park uneconomical. Das Gelände ist mit rund sieben Hektar der größte Freiluftmarkt der südlichen Hemisphäre. Der Markt repräsentiert einen Teil von Melbournes Kultur und Geschichte. 2. Melbourne Der Bahnhof Flinders Street ist der zentrale Nahverkehrsknotenpunkt der Hauptstadt Melbourne des australischen Bundesstaats Victoria. Das Sossusvlei liegt in Namibia und ist eine von Namibsand-Dünen umschlossene beige Salz-Ton-Pfanne („Vlei“) in der Namib-Wüste, die nur in seltenen guten Regenjahren Wasser führt. Dann bildet sich sogar für kurze Zeit ein wenige Zentimeter bis mehrere Meter tiefer See am Ende des Vlei. Sossus bedeutet „blinder Fluss“ in der Sprache der Nama. „Blind“ bezieht sich darauf, dass der nach ergiebigen Regenfällen aus einer Gebirgsregion im Landesinneren kommende, in Richtung des Atlantiks fließende Fluss Tsauchab beim Sossusvlei in den Sanddünen der Namib-Küstenwüste endet bzw. versandet – etwa 50 km vom Meer entfernt. Das Gebiet ist Teil des Namib-Naukluft-Nationalparks. Das Sossusvlei ist seit 21. Juni 2013 Teil des UNESCO-Welterbes des Namib-Sandmeeres. Sossusvlei (sometimes written Sossus Vlei) is a salt and clay pan surrounded by high red dunes, located in the southern part of the Namib Desert, in the Namib-Naukluft National Park of Namibia. The name "Sossusvlei" is often used in an extended meaning to refer to the surrounding area (including other neighbouring vleis such as Deadvlei and other high dunes), which is one of the major visitor attractions of Namibia. Das Kap Komorin (engl.: Cape Comorin) ist der südlichste Punkt des indischen Subkontinents. Die auf 8° 4' nördlicher Breite und 77° 35' östlicher Länge gelegene, felsige Landspitze im Bundesstaat Tamil Nadu ist ein Ausläufer der Westghats. Zwei Ausläufer des Indischen Ozeans, das Arabische Meer und der Golf von Bengalen, treffen dort zusammen. Am Kap Komorin befindet sich die 20.000-Einwohner-Stadt Kanyakumari, die wegen ihrer Lage an der Südspitze Indiens ein bedeutendes Pilgerziel ist. Der Name Komorin ist eine Verballhornung des tamilischen Namens Kanniyakumari, welcher „[Ort der] jungfräulichen Prinzessin“ bedeutet und auf die dort verehrte Göttin verweist. Obgleich das Kap Komorin das Südende des indischen Subkontinents markiert, ist er nicht der südlichste Punkt des indischen Staatsgebiets: Die Inselgruppe der Nikobaren liegt noch weiter südlich. In unmittelbarer Nähe zur Meeresorgel installierte der Architekt Nikola Bašić 2008 einen 22 Meter großen Kreis aus 300 mehrschichtigen, begehbaren Glasplatten. Sie fangen das Sonnenlicht ein und produzieren zum Sonnenuntergang bunte Lichtspiele.

Der Spreewald (niedersorbisch Błota, „die Sümpfe“) ist ein ausgedehntes Niederungsgebiet und eine historische Kulturlandschaft im Südosten des Bundeslandes Brandenburg. Hauptmerkmal ist die natürliche Flusslaufverzweigung der Spree, die durch angelegte Kanäle deutlich erweitert wurde. Als Auen- und Moorlandschaft besitzt sie für den Naturschutz überregionale Bedeutung und ist als Biosphärenreservat geschützt. Der Spreewald als Kulturlandschaft wurde entscheidend durch die Sorben geprägt. It was designated a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 1991. It is known for its traditional irrigation system which consists of more than 200 small channels (called "Fließe"; total length: 1,300 km ) within the 484-square-kilometre (187 sq mi) area.
