I Feel Good
In 1962 James Brown backup singer Yvonne Fair (Flora Coleman) recorded I Found You (James Brown). Yvonne was married to Sammy Strain who was a member of both Little Anthony and the Imperials and the O'Jays making him a double inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
"I Got You (I Feel Good)" came three years later by "The Godfather of Soul", "The Hardest Working Man in Show Business" and "Soul Brother Number One", James Brown and the Famous Flames and became his biggest hit! The tune peaked at number three on the pop chart and topped the R&B chart. Maceo Parker is on alto sax.
