Busted
In 1962 Burl Ives became the first to record "Busted" (Howard) for the Nashville album "Burl" produced by Owen Bradley and featuring the Anita Kerr Singers. Legendary Harlan Howard was from Kentucky and meant it to be a coal mining song.
Ray Charles got to the top five of the R&B chart with his cover one year later.
