"Aquarela do Brazil" (Watercolour Of Brazil) (Ary Barroso) was first recorded by Francisco de Morais Alves in 1939. The song didn't become famous until it was in the 1942 Disney film "Saludos Amigos".

Bob Russell added the English lyric to "Brazil" (Barroso - Russell) and it was first recorded by Jimmy Dorsey and his Orchestra featuring vocals by Bob Eberly and Helen O'Connell in 1942.

From the 1975 album "Brazil" comes the Ritchie Family (Cassandra Ann Wooten, Gwendolyn Oliver and Cheryl Mason Jacks) disco cover of "Brazil". The single topped the Dance chart and reached the Billboard Top Twenty. Jacques Morali created The Village People and The Ritchie Family who took the name from producer Richie Rome.
